ABOUT

Bishop Joel Arwood is a distinct voice in the kingdom of God. He is the lead pastor and founder of Purpose Church in Sevierville, TN and is honored to be an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God. He grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee and recognized the call of God on his life at a young age.

 

Before planting Purpose Church, Bishop Arwood served as a State Evangelist for the Church of God in Tennessee. He also served as the Chairman of the Tennessee Church of God Evangelism & Home Missions Board, the Tennessee Church of God State Council, and has served on numerous other boards and committees. Many leaders recognize the gift Bishop Arwood has in communicating the message of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Thousands have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost under Bishop Arwood’s ministry. Bishop Arwood also holds a Private Pilot License.

 

Bishop Arwood is married to his true love Theresa and they have four children together.
